Our sales activities only started at the end of 2009 but we have succeeded in penetrating the Egyptian market in prominent projects at a time when the worldwide construction market was almost at a standstill.
The new Terminal built at Hurghada International Airport by Al Marasem International for Development, a subsidiary of the Binladen Group used two Raimondi ER-291 (12 Ton & 75 meter jibs) and three Raimondi MRT-111(8 Ton & 60 meter jibs) tower cranes. The same company used another Raimondi MRT-111 at Cairo Airport for the rapid transit system contract between the terminals and at the Air Hotel Project of the same airport.
The largest Shopping Mall in Egypt built by a Joint Venture of Al-Futtaim, Carillion and Orascom Construction Industries at Cairo Festival City on the ring road in Tagamu El Khames had two of our Raimondi ER-240 tower cranes with 14 Ton winches and 75 meter jibs.
The Joint Venture between Arabtec & Siac have purchased and are using one MRT111 and two LR165 Raimondi tower cranes in their Secon Towers project in Maadi.
Other companies who have purchased Raimondi tower cranes are Vinci from France (Cairo Metro Project) and Genena for shopping malls.
